Cravaack Releases Third Television Ad, "Good Man"

Statement

Date: Oct. 10, 2012
Location: North Branch, MN

Today, the Cravaack for Congress Campaign released its third television ad in the race for Minnesota's 8th Congressional District seat.

"A strong and vibrant mining industry is key to creating good-paying jobs for Minnesota workers and their families. While former Congressman Rick Nolan believes EPA regulations are "job creators,' I disagree. In our twenty-first century 8th District economy, we must streamline the permitting process and address the overregulation of Washington bureaucrats, so projects like PolyMet can move forward. I am thankful for the support of so many former and current miners throughout this far-reaching district," said Chip Cravaack.

Script

Jerry Gangl: I retired from Hanna Mining Company in 1993. I had worked there 43 years.

Chip being in a union really helped him to understand the steelworkers and iron mining industry.

John Finken: Chip's spent some time in the picket lines himself and Chip has been fighting very hard for us.

Gangl: Chip is really concerned about the Iron Range and pension problems.

Finken: All my life I grew up a Democrat but the exception to the rule is Chip Cravaack.

Gangl: Chip's a good man, very good man.

I'm Chip Cravaack, candidate for Congress, I approve this message.
